FLEXiSKiP is a practical, heavy-duty disposable skip bag, perfect for removing bulky household items that don't fit in your wheelie bin. It's an affordable and convenient alternative to a traditional steel skip bin.
Your FLEXiSKiP must be booked for collection within 30 days of delivery. Eligible Gold Coast residents are entitled to one FLEXiSKiP service per financial year.
It will be delivered by our local courier, if you're not home, they have authority to leave it at your door. Deliveries are completed within 10 business days of ordering.
No, but a collection must be booked within 30 days of delivery. After this period, a fee will apply and the skip will no longer be eligible for City collection. Residents will need to arrange collection directly with FLEXiSKiP or find an alternative disposal method at their own expense.
No problem, you don't need to be home. Our delivery team will place your FLEXiSKiP in a safe and accessible location on your property. Our collection drivers are experienced and don't require anyone to be present to complete the collection.
Your FLEXiSKiP must be placed
  • Within four (4) metres of the street kerb
  • Clear of any obstructions such as powerlines, trees, driveways, and parked cars
  • In an area with at least nine (9) metres of overhead clearance (e.g. not under power lines or overhanging trees)
  • Loaded so all material is contained inside the skip, not piled around it
Please follow these guidelines carefully. Attempting to move a filled FLEXiSKiP can compromise the bag's structure and may cause personal injury. Non-compliance may result in a failed collection and additional charges.
FLEXiSKiPs are built tough, but they do have limits. Do not fill above the top of the bag, and keep in mind the 1-tonne weight limit. Overfilled bags may be rejected at collection.
The $50 fee is a small contribution paid by users of the FLEXiSKiP service. It was introduced in response to significant growth in demand and rising waste management costs. The fee helps offset these costs and keeps the service available to more residents. For context, accessing an equivalent service privately would cost between $340–$350. The City of Gold Coast continues to subsidise the majority of the cost.
